This opinion is terribly misinformed
Utah home prices have risen more over the last three decades (on a percentage basis) than any other State, because we've had the largest imbalance of supply and demand.

Which is a fancy way of saying we haven't built nearly enough supply.

Any person who has looked at the data in Utah will tell you we have a housing shortage.

That housing shortage isn't because developers don't want to build anything. It's because cities in Utah make it too hard to build enough to keep up with demand.

So this perception that Utah is super developer friendly is the opposite of the truth. Utah restricts developerss to the point that we have a massive housing shortage and the highest home price growth rates in the nation.

Utah is only developer friendly if your comparison is California, and being like California is where we're headed if we don't make it easier to build enough housing to keep our home price growth rates reasonable.
