Is this a straw man argument or are you serious?
Because if you are giving me a free straw man argument to just burn it to the ground, Thank you!!!
#1) The report is from a Pro-Apple Website, and it has been reported on multiple Apple fan sites. So it is likely true. If it is NOT true then it was posted by fans of apple who already think Apple does lock-in tactics like this all the time.
#2) If it is NOT true, there are dozens of other lock-in tactic used routinely by Apple. . . I could just post about something else.
#3) Samsung "reduces charging speeds for safety if the charger is using uninsulated/unsafe parts." vs Apple reducing charging speeds unless a Royalty is paid to them. Very different.
"It's fine to hate Apple, but at least get the facts straight." - This comment legit made me lose respect for you.

False equivalency: 1. Good chance Apple does this. 2. For profit rather than safety since there are lots of safe options
