Apple is reportedly reducing data transfer and charging speeds on their IPhone 15 USB-C powered phones UNLESS you buy a "Made for iPhone" cable to charge or send data across. This is legit Apple just making their product worse to keep consumers like me locked into their Ecosystem.

I know this is not new and Apple has been doing it for years. . . But this example is just far more petty and frustrating than most.






Sidenote - Apple makes great products that have lots of features and functionality that makes them a great choice for anyone willing to spend the money. I am not here to discuss whether Apple products are good (They are very good products), or worth the price (I do not think they are worth the price, but we buy overpriced stuff all the time like Fastfood, Cars, etc.)

Also, I know Apple is not the only company that does this. . . Other major offenders are Hardware = Tesla, National Instruments; Software = Google/Microsoft with their lockin account systems being connected to everything else.
