They were streaky last year because the defense sucked and Jaren played
hurt against Notre Dame. A quality back up could have won that game.
So, yes, depth at the qb position cost BYU a game, but I don't think it was the broad brush problem that this coach perceived.

The Big 12 is better than the PAC, but I seem to remember BYU beat a middle of the pack Big 12 team last year
