Is that big 12 was set to add BYU and Cinci. Texas slowed things down with the Houston stuff. Then the athlete ally letter in conjunction with the student body protests made enough schools balk at adding BYU.

Big 12 was then considering Cinci and Houston but ESPN and fox offered money instead of adding those two schools. I think enough schools were already on the fence about Houston anyway that they just decided to take the money.
