The MSU game as a family. I couldn't swing the LSU game due to some work obligations, otherwise I'd be going to that one and my family would most likely want to come as well. However, if they didn't my wife would have no issue with me going.
As was stated in some of the responses in the thread, unless there is an issue in resources it's selfish for a spouse to not allow the other to go do stuff. I go out for wings occasionally with other guys from my ward, or watch games, go to races. My wife will go out with the girls any time she wants.
We don't ask each other for permission. It's not a nightly or weekly occurrence but we just inform each other to make sure it's not conflicting with something else and one of us is home to watch the kids.
Neither the Husband nor Wife should have to ask permission.....if there isn't a legitimate schedule conflict for a BYU Football game (only legitimate conflicts are work, birth of a child, and death of A loved one.....you could toss in church calling responsibility....all weddings should be scheduled appropriately to avoid a schedule conflict) one should grow a pair and go.
