The only argument for Maddux over Pedro (or anyone else) is longevity.
Nearly all Pedro's rate stats are higher. Same for Kershaw.
If you really value the longevity, Randy Johnson vs. Maddux is a better conversation. Or Clemens if you forget about the steroid stuff.
But for me, the question is who was the best pitcher, not who remained pretty dang good for the longest time. Give me Pedro or Kershaw.
