Hey, displacedute, I've read your posts here, you're generally a civil guy but..
....there's something I think you are conveniently not factoring in about all this "it's just a game" stuff. Yes, it "is" just a game, however, it is actually rather difficult for some of us BYU fans to treat it just as a game when a rather large chunk of vocal Utah fans shove the loss in your face, for 8 straight years now, with relentless arrogance. And not just arrogance, but an arrogance and condescending attitude based largely on, or due to, a certain system of belief, or lack thereof, that moderators here don't like to mix with football, if you get my drift.
I ask you to consider how easy it would be for you yourself to just "treat is as a game" if the shoe was on the other foot; if BYU had the last 8 straight and we BYU fans routinely lorded it in your face with a dose of "why" we should rub your nose in it.
Am I saying the we BYU fans should not be civil or that it is impossible to be civil? Nope. But I am saying that there are valid reasons why doing so is a little more difficult than you make it out to be.
Cheers.
