As for football it’s not as cut and dry as other sports, true, but that being said, I doubt you’ll find any stat that supports rushing 3 and dropping 8 on 70%+ of your defensive snaps... yet that’s what BYU’s defense does.

I doubt you’ll find any stats that support running a pitch to the short side of the field on offense, yet that’s what BYU’s offense seems to do every time they run that play.
