several of the players listed at that position are ones I’ve seen knocked off the ball at times in the past or have less game experience. BYU’s scheme doesn’t always make it easy, forcing DL to face more double teams. In my opinion, Byu will need to dedicate more defenders in the box this year if they want to consistently stop the run.
On a positive front, one underrated player there who’ve I seen make more plays at DT is the walk-on Summers. He’s the one I saw last year getting some penetration. Haws had a few nice plays but often got knocked backwards. Mahe is somewhat unknown coming off not playing last year due to his clotting issue, but he was really up and down the year previously. Looked like he’d run out of gas at times so hopefully he’s gotten himself in better game shape.
