Combined with allotting more scholarships to the defense of wind there were two defensive lineman that graduated at that time.

This means that we had to get 6 to 7 defense of lineman into the program under scholarship.

Everyone knows you can’t go out and sign 6 to 7 quality defensive lineman in one year. It’s not healthy to grow that way and there is no way BYU could find that kind of quality in any given year in those numbers.

The only way to do that is 2 to 3 lineman a year for over a four year. When you include missions into your consideration.

Immediately people started whining about how Kalani didn’t have his defensive line playing well.... it wasn’t his defense of line yet.

Now he has had time to rebuild that line. They played amazingly well last year and seem to be deeper and more talented this year.
