Vegas is 400 miles and two states away from Provo, in a completely different time zone.
I was willing to give ND the benefit of the doubt because of their unforeseen scheduling arrangement with the ACC and their historic rivalries with USC and Navy—frankly, there weren't many open slots on ND's schedule and I could see why BYU was a lower priority than those teams.
But if ND is willing to travel and willing to play BYU—just not in Provo—then they're saying that they're too good for Provo, and that grinds my gears. I'd much rather take the payout and not deal with ND moving forward instead of getting jerked around again. A 4-2 series, that turned into a 2-1 series, that turned into a 2-0 series + a Neutral site game 9 years later seems like such a raw deal.
Notre Dame is trying to make BYU eat a crap sandwich, and it blows my mind that so many on this board are lining up to take a bite and say it's delicious.
