He's played better previously. Some of it is they've played an extremely vanilla vertical passing game so far. Herm even said in his post game that it's likely things are getting opened up a bit more. And despite his troubles, we're complaining about a guy who can run and is completing 73% of his passes despite a few bad drops. It's not there... Yet.
But you're right. ASU is a running team. They have NFL type RBs with White and Trayanum (presuming he's back and healthy), an experienced OL and a very mobile QB. They want to run to pass, not pass to run.
