Yes, the US has an abundance of Nat Gas. We produce more NatGas than we need right now without really trying. NatGas is a byproduct of fracking & parallel drilling projects. The sale of crude has paid the bills for those projects while NatGas has been sold at or below cost. With the politics of drilling for crude being what they are now, we won't be investing in more oil projects that bring NatGas side benefits. Our NatGas production will likely dwindle--even though there is plenty of it in the ground.
