They can hire really well, but they struggle keeping new hires for more than 2 years. Mainly because they are always hiring, and rarely promoting, unless you were there when they started 10 years ago.
Another one I had worked with, an annual raise is a 'formality' within the business world, but employees see it as an expectation. When this company had a record breaking year (roughly 250 million in revenue for the year) they kept the same Christmas bonus ($150 for employees) and didn't give employees raises at the start of the new year, the place lost almost 10% of their workforce within the next 2-3 months and then instead of promoting from within to fill key spots, hired outside people, which pushed other employees over the edge.
