Which means they won't do it. The Big-12 learned the hard way about not stabilizing your conference when you have the chance, even if it costs you a few bucks. It seems like the Pac-10 may have to learn the same lesson. Adding both of those schools while Oregon & Washington are still in the conference gives those programs time to solidify themselves as legit P5 programs in highly desirable markets. This would give the P12 a path to long-term stability. And frankly, adding Boise State and Colorado State as well wouldn't be a terrible idea since the P12 isn't in danger of losing P5 status anytime soon. They could point to the B12 as a P5 conference that just added 4 non-P5 programs so they'd just be doing the same thing.
