If Harline didn't get injured in preseason, I think he would have done fine in
the NFL.
If he graduated about 10 years later, he'd have done really well. He was a nightmare matchup for a lot of teams.

Yeah Harline was a great CFB TE, not so much in the NFL.

There's a little truth to this, yet his combine #s tell another story. I don't

Harline couldn’t block… coats could.. a non blocking tight end is a slow WR

He ran like a 4.8 too and had an F draft grade.

Plus he is going to Utah. Grass definitely isn't greener there.

Well, it is Greener in whatever area is their version of the western concourse..

Meh, Erickson looks like he has potential to be a beast. Let him go.

He probably won't have Cam Rising though.

Rising is barely 22. He shouldn't go the NFL unless he is a second day pick.

You’re right, he probably won’t

Is leaving early to be a last day pick a good idea for a 22 yo QB?
shamc
10/4/22 4:25pm
Depends, maybe his stock improves before then?
RockyBalboa
10/4/22 4:27pm
After the season? Yeah if I'm rising I'm not leaving unless I am projected 2-4
shamc
10/4/22 4:33pm
Agreed. The ‘23 QB draft class is deep.

The cautionary tale is nfl scouts don't care one iota about TE targets. They

Gonna get lured in by someone promising targets and then on day one they’ll say “you’d better learn to block”

Yeah that TD run was crazy... Good luck to Dallin, he's gonna need it.

Another thought on this: Holker would have a better chance at being noticed at Jaren Hall’s pro day than Cam Rising’s.

TEs aren’t used as much in the passing game as they used to be

I would go to Notre Dame and replace the hole left by Michael Mayer
2FarGone
10/4/22 3:14pm
You don't just decide to go to Notre Dame. They probably have multiple 4/5* TEs lined up to take Mayer's place.

He's not that kind of TE.

Is there an offensive set where you have the WRs in tight to block and the TEs

That’s because Kuithe is really a WR. He is an hback on draft boards
BYU '80

Yep. He’s a tweener in the eyes of NFL scouts

There is no way that Holker is going to Utah. No chance at all.
