Obviously people took it far too seriously. I apologize if my joke was not well received. I wasn't making fun of the practice of fasting. I do it regularly. I was just pointing out that people are claiming that BYU put in SO much effort into finding his transcripts when really it was probably just a few phone calls and some minor logistics. I would hope that coaches went and visited with the young man before offering him a scholarship.

I just don't think this thing is that much of a big deal. People here seem to think that Utah played a very unethical game in recruiting Pita and I just don't see it that way.
