Hmmm...Kentucky, Duke, Kansas and Florida seem to do ok
with royal blue.

BYU has the ultimate call on this and there is nothing that stops a team from using multiple colors. In fact the more colors the better if this is all strictly done for "marketing purposes". With only navy blue as an option, I can tap out with one navy blue stretch y shirt and one white stretch Y shirt since BYU has no viable mascot logo that sells like say (Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, ASU, etc.).

Add additional colors and give fans the options: royal blue, gray, black, etc. I think the fan's rush to buy royal blue last year and black during the blackout game are evidence that fans want options. Maybe navy blue DOES sell better, but that does not mean royal blue or black will not sell very good as well.........and when all of the options are available even better.
