Many people in Utah had descendant's that left from NY to Ohio to Missouri to Illinois and then settled in Utah where they became the majority rather than the minority.

I don't necessarily agree with the "If you don't like it...leave" train of thought. But I also don't understand people from outside that move to a place with the prevailing religion and culture and are surprised by laws that are formed around it, like the Zion Curtain. That's probably a bad example, since I don't understand the need for the Zion Curtain other than as another hurdle to make getting an alcohol license more difficult.
