Easy there fella, take a squeeze, nice and slow, take a deep breath and let it
go.

Whether you believe me or not, doesn't really matter to me. But you tell me when has Bronco ever in his career allowed the other team to score 25 (Houston), 33 (Virginia), 35 (USU), 31 (UCF), 42 (Nevada), and 55 (BSU) in consecutive weeks?

Do you blame this on a sudden reduction in our talent? I would say we have more talent on defense than we did when Bronco first took over. As players change, coaches bear the responsibility to develop and hone talent, since Bronco has stepped away from the defense, this effort seems to be lacking. Is it because Nick Howell doesn't really know how to do that? I don't know. But the result are not typical of what BYU fans have become accustomed under Bronco. And the only real change to that is that Nick Howell is the new coordinator and Bronco has stated that has allowed him to take a step back from the defense and help the team in other areas.

I've supported BYU football my whole life in a myriad of ways, most of the people on cougarboard have given a lot to this program. If these coaches aren't responsible to help fans understand where things went wrong and what they're doing to improve, then how can they expect the support of the fanbase? Season tickets, private donations, time commitments all play a factor in how a fan can support the cause. When jokers like Nick Howell get up, after a piss-poor product is put out on the field, and act arrogant and annoyed with questions being asked, it really rubs me the wrong way. I've been an ardent supporter of Bronco and BYU coaches in the past, but I've reached my breaking point. I'm tired of being mired in mediocrity, and Bronco has not shown me that he can produce anything more.
