The woman told me that there was massive fraud this year. People's 2013 info was hacked (from online tax prep services), and it was tweaked just a bit for 2014, then the direct deposit # was changed to a pre-paid debit card.
She said that probably 95% of people will get one of these identification requests.
I can't say you will, but that's what the lady told me. So, be ready. It's pretty easy to fill out online.
