Apple stopped making the 17" Macbook Pro.

When I dropped the computer off, one of the Simply Mac sales people told me that the 17 wasn't needed anymore because of the new displays on the 15". He said all the same information fits on the 15" screen as well as the 17" because of the improvement in resolution. I then asked him (already knowing the answer), about the visible font size and wasn't it smaller. He said it was, and then I followed up with this, "So, for older people experiencing the hardening of the eyes, the change from 17" to 15" is not the same is it?" He agreed that it wasn't.

So, I have a solution. Run a production run of 17" every three years. Impractical, I know, but wouldn't it be nice?
