And a kid who left a lot of folk behind who woulda given their right arms
to see him stick it out & succeed.
Folks still trip over themselves, in fact, to see his good name righted wherever they think it's been wronged.
I can think of plenty of kids whose hearts bleed far blue-er than Jake's ever did -- who received little if any such devotion or defense from our fan base. Several of whom were ruthlessly mocked (& still are) from the fallout of the same fiasco.
