For you to be outspoken about a policy that would have no impact at all on someone that just read posts and never tried to be a part of the board is a little unusual. I also think if you just ignore a poster that bugs you, your problem is solved. I don't see a need to ignore posters but it appears to be the perfect answer for someone that doesn't want to deal with "trolls". Wanting others to not see your posts is incredibly insecure and weird in my opinion.
