Million dollar bus stops that take a year to build
Traffic in / around Crystal City has been disrupted for well over a year to put in the open ended and open sided bus stops that cost in excess of a million apiece. The cost is obscene, the timeline is worse. It's maybe a week, ten days max, of actual work to build these things, but construction and traffic disruption has stretched out well over a year. Infuriating.

I swore I would never live in Arlington county because of the ridiculous taxes and public projects but after test driving the commute a few times, I broke down and bought here.

Good news is, there appears to be a temporary outbreak of fiscal sanity; the Artisphere is getting closed, and the Arlington streetcar got cancelled.....
