Conferences don't want to bring in other universities because "they don't bring any money".

Welll.....so says Iowa St. So says Kansas. So says Vandy. So says Rutgers. So says, Northwestern. I mean...how much are they contributing...you don't think Texas and Oklahoma are saying to TCU, Iowa St. Kansas, Kansas St. Texas Tech, Baylor....come on guys. We're carrying this whole friggin conference and you want us to give up the Longhorn network? That's the real way we're making money...not because Iowa St. is coming to town.

You get these large fanbases who will buy a yearly package...and Texas gets all that money. Not ESPN. Not Fox..who cares about Teir 2, or Teir 3 rights....Texas gets it all. BYU gets it all. Can you imagine the revenue that BYU could garner over the years with a growing world wide fanbase, and having the USC's and Michigans, and Alabama's come in. BYU could be a doormat for a long time until they get all the best LDS talent and then some...but still....it could be awesome.

And it's only because BYU has had the foresight to be ahead of the curve, and it's just that they are ready...no other reason because they are a special program etc...no, it's just because they are ready to do it...now.
