Ask any missionary in areas that have predominately Polynesian neighborhoods and you will quickly see that many Samoan and Tongans want nothing to do with the LDS faith. Why is true is that many are familiar with the church but that does not mean they are friendly to the church. This is even more apparent among those who grow up outside of the islands.
