Top tier Polys of this generation look at schools more elite than BYU. Their dream is to make it to the next level (NFL) and right now, BYU doesn't put a lot of guys in the pros, AND, isn't considered elite among the NCAA landscape. I believe Polys from the 70's, 80's and 90's chose BYU out of loyalty, family ties, church ties, etc. The kids today have different agenda's than the BYU experience. Of course you have those who want that experience and that's fine, but when you're talking top tier, I think it's the same as any race of top tier athletes. Meaning, whichever situation helps with their football goals.
