Since we rarely ever get a 5star player (rarely doesn't mean never for those about to reply with a handful of names over 3 decades) 4star recruits are our elite prospects. So 3 star to BYU are a step above "above average." The difference between a 2 star and 1/walk on is like the difference between the 70th best CFB team and the 90th. It's negligible. If BYU increased the 3 star commits by even 25% and took fewer walk ons I think it would lead to a significant increase in win production...
