That I would add into the mix is Chris Sale. He's just 27 and has hit his stride as a dominant pitcher. If he can stay healthy through his mid-30's (that's always the big question with pitchers, isn't it?) then I think he would have a shot.
Beltran and Hamels belong in the "Hall of Very Good" players - along with all the other All-Star level players who come very close on multiple ballots but never quite get in.
