Ask him if he was a bigot in 2012
He'll say "no". Ask him then why did he use the word "sissy" and he'll say "because that's not how I meant it"--because he meant it in the just as common sense (and commonly accepted--until maybe today) way people refer to someone that is "weak." In 2012, everyone apparently understood the intention in his tweet, just like everyone understood the intention in that girl's sign that also said "sissy." His article is simply politically expedient and will conveniently get him clicks. What's just as bad to me is that I suspect he isn't doing it maliciously. He probably really thought hard about bringing the subject up in an article and then cleverly rationalized to himself that it was justified and righteously appropriate (and would get lots of eyeballs). So unless he confesses a bigoted intention to his original tweet, he evidently doesn't believe the word sissy means what he has decided to say it means. And Scott, because you apparently read CB, "don't even try and argue it's not."
