Look dude, this is simple. Really simple. On every kickoff team, you have responsibilities, dudes who are supposed to account for things. There will ALWAYS be dudes whose assignment is to account for the other returner when there are two deep guys. When you hear guys talking about "staying home" and not "breaking contain." This is what they are talking about.
If I were the guy on the kickoff squad responsible for the dude who laid down, I would go, "Oh, he's laying down, he's obviously up to something. This is hilarious. Maybe if I run real fast I can destroy him shortly after he gets to his feet."
I would not go, "He's laying down ... WHERE IS HE???? WHERE DID HE GO???" Maybe it made it harder for you to see him on tv, but the color didn't make it harder to see him. Laying down might have, but that had nothing to do with what he was wearing.
