By historical standards, this year's schedule is tough, even with the softer November. This november's schedule is
essentially what we ALWAYS had through the years, with the notable exception of there being no Utah game these days at the end of the season. Of course, Utah wasn't all that great much of the time in the past, so it's not like that end of season rivalry game was the same as playing a good P5 opponent, or anything. These days, of course, Utah is a much tougher game.
What we've done with these schedules is basically move ourselves into P5-like schedules. Any program moving up into a power conference is going to experience some growing pains, and will almost certainly lose more games than they did when they played lesser opponents in their previous conferences. Same thing with BYU and these current schedules. Of course we're going to lose more, at least at first, playing these kinds of schedules. All-in-all, I think our guys have weathered it well to this point. Sure, we'd like to have at least a couple more wins, but this coaching staff is just getting started with this program. Good times lay ahead.
