They are looking for voices that speak to them. It's no different than the Obama years when it seemed every word out of his mouth was anti-cop, conservatives gravitated towards Fox News and talk radio to hear voices that resonated with them and the ratings went up. The former president was coddled with kid gloves day and night on network TV, even when he said some really, really, dumb things.

For the record, Shep Smith is a yuge liberal. Always has been. That's not surprising.
