But, I also don't think it would necessarily be accurate to assume that we'd have had many more losses in the MWC than we have had in the WCC. In fact, many of our bad losses were "off nights" in which we'd lose to anybody. If we had the conference record of the last 5 years in a conference the strength of the MWC of yesteryear, we'd still have looked more favorable due simply to the fact that our losses were to teams who weren't as bad.

And maybe it would also mean we'd have more losses. That's where we'll never know.

Either way, you are correct that we are worse, but I don't think it's fair to say that such a condition exists irrespective of any external factor.
