One of the things I love about my kids is that they would rather go camping than
just about any other vacation, Disneyland and Hawaii included.
With kids it helps to start them when they're young. For our stake fathers and sons campouts, I start taking my boys when they're 2. I still hate changing diapers in the woods, but the memories made and the look of wonder in their eyes when they realize they get to sleep "outside" are priceless.
And somehow, every campout is memorable. Especially the bad ones. The only weather I don't like to camp in is wind.

To me this isn't camping. Camping is hiking 4 miles to get to your campsite. That's just what I grew up with though
