The blockage in my esophagus made it extremely painful, almost impossible to even drink water. I was restricted to a diet of yogurt water for almost 3 weeks, which equaled a grand total of 5 weeks on a soft diet counting the 2 weeks of tonsillectomy recovery. By the end I had dropped 35 lbs. it was miserable.
