Came into 2017 weighing 205. I've never been able to lose weight, but this year I've finally been successful.
I have just done a low calorie diet(AKA eat whatever you want just don't eat as much as you did before).
I run for 30 minutes about 6 times a week (either outside or on an elliptical)
Down to 168 now!
I'm impressed by the quick drop from 173 to 167.... it took me a full month to get from 173 to 168.
I haven't done any weight training yet... but that's the next step.
Just wanted to say congrats! and its good to hear that there is someone else out there going through the same thing!
