Although it might help the case for him to stay in Utah

Since the Jazz hold his Bird rights and accordingly could pay him even more than any other team. He'd be making 40 plus million by the end of his contact if he qualified for the all league veteran contract. An extra year at 40 plus million essentially if he signed with the Jazz.
