My philosophy would be to use team success as a tie breaker
All-NBA is an individual award and I'd pick the better player on a 25 win team over a lesser player on a 65 win team.
The Cousins scenario is a bit different. putting up empty numbers and not helping your team win is different than carrying a crappy supporting cast to more wins. Without Butler I think the bulls win 12-15 less games. I can't fault Butler for having crappy teammates.
