After finishing 2nd in MVP voting in 1986-87, Jordan never finished outside of
the top 3 in seasons that he played in Chicago (outside of the shortened season when he came out of retirement). He finished 3rd twice (behind Magic and Barkley one year, Barkley and Olajuwon the other).
It was just announced that LeBron won't be in the top 3 in MVP voting this season.

Yes, but 2011 was the first year of "big 3" in Miami. They hadn't worked out the kinks fully yet and weren't as good

I think Miami always had the better players at that point in both those years and had a higher ceiling.
