zuxvon Walk-on
It depends on perspective, but telling someone they no longer have a scholarship
and will have to pay their way is basically cutting the person. I understand that he technically left, because he didn't want to pay for his schooling, but how could he not? Would you stay at a program where the coach has no faith in you and is requiring you to pay thousands of dollars to stay? Even if he is only good enough to be a walk-on, you wouldn't walk-on at a place where the coach doesn't believe in you. The coach really didn't put him in a position to stay. Again, I think Rose made the right evaluation and have no problem with him not getting a scholarship.
