My first cell phone was a company phone so I never had a personal phone
At the time (late 90's) lots of people still didn't have cell phones. My employer replaced pagers with cell phones at the time and I've just always had it.
The "smart" phone issue definitely opens up some privacy concerns but I only use my phone for cougarboard and some social media. pretty harmless.
