and is probably much more like most universities than BYU. They probably defend their recruiting by the "everyone deserves a second chance" philosophy. Hopefully this recruit will learn from his mistakes and will change his life. Bronco M. gave Kyle Van Noy a 2nd chance and that worked out pretty well.

Certainly the LDS element (fans & players) at the U must cringe a little bit in these situations.

I wonder if schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Washington and others would go after a kid dismissed from a team for several DUI's. I'm guessing some would and some wouldn't.
