He's going to have to luck out with born n raised UVA fans since he doesn't have that common factor like being LDS. With UVA being a hot bed for recruits, and VT being the big boy in state, it's going to be hard for him to land top notch local recruits, and top notch guys in general, with so many big time schools around. I think taking basically his whole staff of BYU guys who hadn't really been anywhere was a big mistake. They don't have connections in the area and HS coaches can have a lot to do with recruiting. They might just not have any respect earned. I'm shocked he even managed to get McNeill for a year.
His classes are going to fill out with mid-lower level guys who he is going to extract as much as he can out of, but it won't put them over the hump. I see it being similar to BYU because I just don't think he's going to get it done on the recruiting front.
