IMO he isn't going to win over top athletes that are playing to win championship or have aspirations for professional level playing as college football drifts to becoming a semi-pro football league. His appeal lies for those that are geared more for the true "student-athletes" type that hope to get other things out of college football-education, character development, etc. Seemed to have the same attitude at BYU in that the school recruited the players, Firesides, low priority of football, band of brothers type stuff, etc.
