LaVell's class. But for some, not all, to characterize Kyle as "classless" because he has made a career of coaching Utah seems a little silly. BYU fans seem particularly obsessed with wanting anyone and everyone who ever stepped foot on campus to be blindly loyal to all things blue for eternity. Kyle went to BYU because his dad was a coach there. If Fred had been coaching at Weber State or Utah State or any number of other schools that's where Kyle would have played his college ball. Calling him a traitor is just sophomoric but rivalries are toxic and too often bring out the worst in fans. Kyle has spoken repeatedly about his affinity for BYU and especially his love and respect for LaVell. That should be enough.
