Thought this was interesting: Utah's highest paid assistant coach last year was at $425,000 a year according to USA today, and they had 3 at that level - Roderick, Scalley and Harding. They also show guys like Justin Ena at 250K. Washington State has a guy at 575K and another at 375K but a lot of guys in the 200's....

At least the idea that we'd have to be paying 700k-900K can be eliminated if we're comparing ourselves to WSU or Utah it looks to me that paying 375k - 425K would be competitive. (I have no idea what our current assistant coaches are paid to even guess if they are 150K or 300K)
I didnt know WSU committed so much to remodel, thanks. And personally I didnt think RES was that nice, but granted its been 5 or so years since I've been there.....
