In JrHS, our history teacher, Mr. Harrison, had taken enough disrespect from the
class... and he took a lot of disrespect at their hands. I felt badly that he didn't enforce any rules and that kids just turned in their seats and talked in loud voices during his lectures.

One day, he tried to reign the class back in, but Eric wasn't going to go along with it...and kept on talking. Mr. Harrison walked over to Eric, asked him face to face to be quiet, and Eric kept talking and laughing.

Mr. Harrison lost it. He had his wooden ruler in his hand. He turned it the narrow direction, and with the metal edge, started thumping Eric on the head (hard) until the ruler broke. Then he grabbed the front of Eric's desk and yanked it high in the air, dumping Eric on the floor, along with his books and supplies...then dropped the desk on him. Then he told Eric to get down to the principal's office.

There was a small kid that hung out with the school bully. His name was "Lee"... and Lee was always above the rules. As Mr. Harrison was walking to the front of the room, Lee started laughing at Eric's misfortune. Mr. Harrison stopped, turned to face Lee, and asked him if it was funny... to which Lee said "(explicative) yes!"

He started slapping Lee across the face, back and forth, back and forth, asking Lee if that was funny, too.

When he stopped, Lee stood up, ran out and screamed that his dad was going to come back and kick Mr. Harrison's [explicative, explicative]. Mr. Harrison laughed and said that he'd welcome a visit from Lee's dad, and that if he was anything like Lee, he too was a weasely little (explicative).

He sat down, shrugged his shoulders, then told us to open our text books. We ALL did... quietly. Honestly, it was the best teaching lesson that we had from Mr. Harrison that year.

P.S. Lee's dad was a no-show. Eric came back, but didn't talk too much the rest of the term.
